Student OpportunitiesPart of the John Randolph mission is to provide young people with opportunities to embark on a lifelong healthcare career. We do this in a coupleof ways through the US Army Partnership for Youth Success Program for those seeking a second career, and through our partnership with the Medical Explorers Program for hands-on experience in a medical setting to determine if healthcare is the right career for you. Army PaYS Program
A unique program, Army PaYS is an effort to partner with the American business community to interest young people in obtaining a quality civilian job after serving in the Army. Young people who join the PaYS program while enlisting in the Army gain the valuable skills and experience needed in healthcare today. To learn more about this exciting program visit www.armypays.com Medical Explorers ProgramExploring is a part of the Learning for Life's career education program offered by the Boy Scouts of America. The program is open to young men and women who are 14 to 20 years of age and have completed the eighth grade. John Randolph Medical Center is proud to sponsor an Explorers group. The Explorers meet at John Randolph on the first Tuesday of each month to engage in hands-on demonstrations and learn about the variety of medical fields at John Randolph. To learn more about how you can become an Explorer at John Randolph, please call Brenda Paige at (804) 541-7536. |
