Our Nursing Philosophy is Simple...

Nursing

We incorporate professional values, engagement and involvement, partnering with patients, respecting the rights and dignity of our patients and co-workers, clinical competency and being involved in our community into the core of our nursing philosophy.

Nursing here is a perfect example of how our sense of family embraces patients, employees and the community we live in. From the exceptional nursing orientation to our extensive preceptor program to the relationships among our staff, the John Randolph experience is more than just a job, more than a duty to perform and more than a shift to complete. Our patients are our neighbors, our family and our friends. Success is measured in caring at John Randolph.

We've got some outstanding opportunities right now in our ICU/CCU, in our OR, and for MedSurg. To be a part of a team that is committed to achieving the highest standards in patient care through technology and the best staff in the region, take a minute to search our database for nursing employment opportunities. You'll receive a list of current openings that match your selections. Be sure to check back later if there are no matches to the selections you provided - we update our database weekly. You may attach a resume when you apply online.

Grow Your Career with the HCA Virginia Internship in Operating Room Nursing

Do you have at least one year of hospital experience as an RN and want to broaden the horizons of your career? Apply for the HCA Virginia's Health System's Internship in Operating Room Nursing and grab your scrubs!

With the average age of OR nurses being higher than 49, the national average for all registered nurses, it is estimated that ORs will lose between 35 and 40 percent of their nurses within the next five years. So HCA Virginia is investing in the power of education to get more nurses into the OR.

The program, when offered, lasts six to nine months depending on individual progress, will give seven nurses the opportunity to receive didactic training in the classroom and practice what they learn in clinical rotations among HCA Virginia - Central's three hospitals (CJW Medical CenterJohn Randolph Medical Center, and Henrico Doctors' Hospital). The classroom curriculum is the Periop 101: A Core Curriculum™ developed by the Association of peri-Operative Registered Nurses.

At the end of the internship, the students will be placed in the HCA Virginia hospital that is the right match for each one as determined by the students, OR directors, and clinical educator. All HCA Virginia asks in return is a two-year commitment of employment.
